Is sauna use safe if I’m pregnant or have a medical condition?

If you’re feeling unwell, feverish, or have cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you please skip your session and return when you’re feeling better, out of consideration for other guests.
Booking & Memberships
Are the saunas single-sex or communal?
Our saunas are communal and open to everyone. At Alchemy, we’re all about community and connection, so we welcome you to relax and enjoy the space together with others in a friendly, inclusive environment.
How do I make a group booking?
You can easily book a sauna for your group through the Alchemy Saunas app. Just head to the schedule under your preferred location, tap on the “Group Booking” tab, and follow the simple steps to request your booking.
How do I refer a friend?
We love that you want to share your Alchemy experience! You can send your friend a Refer-a-Friend link from the Alchemy Saunas app. To qualify, your friend will need to be new to Alchemy, download the app, create an account, and make their first purchase all in one go. Once they complete their booking and payment, your referral credit will be applied to your account. You can then use this account credit at checkout towards your next purchase with us.
Can I book for a friend?
Absolutely! You can call your preferred venue and we’ll reserve a spot for your friend (subject to availability). Each guest just needs their own Alchemy Saunas account and to have paid for their session before entering the sauna.
Can I book for a friend who doesn't have an account?
Each person must have their own Alchemy Saunas account to book. If your friend doesn’t have one, they can download the app before arrival, create an account at the venue, or call the venue to arrange the booking. We recommend arriving a little early so this doesn’t cut into your session time.
Can I share membership credits?
Membership credits are non-transferable between accounts. But we encourage you to bring friends along to experience Alchemy together! You can book a sauna session for a friend, just call your preferred venue and we’ll reserve a spot for your friend (subject to availability). Each guest just needs their own Alchemy Saunas account and to have paid for their session before entering.
What are late cancel and no-show fees?
We aim to be flexible and understand that plans can change, but to ensure fair access for everyone, our 3-hour cancellation policy works as follows:
Drop-In Users: Cancelling less than 3 hours before your booking will result in forfeiting your session credit. If you don’t attend, your credit will also be forfeited.
Members: Cancelling within 3 hours of your booking or not attending will incur a $10 fee. This helps ensure all members have equal access to sessions.

Do you have a designated quiet sauna?
Some venues offer designated quiet sauna sessions on a trial basis. These sessions will be clearly marked in the app schedule. Outside of these sessions, our saunas are social spaces designed to encourage connection and conversation. While quiet sessions are available, we also encourage guests to chat, meet new people, and enjoy the social side of Alchemy. Each location has its own unique atmosphere, so explore and find the environment that suits you best!
What is the temperature inside the sauna?
Our saunas are set to around 90°C. If you’d like a more precise reading, our friendly team can help. We don’t adjust the temperature for individual preferences, so if it feels too warm, try sitting on a lower bench or keeping your session a little shorter - your comfort is what matters most.
