  • What are late cancel and no-show fees?

To ensure fair access to our facilities, Alchemy has the following policies:

Members: Cancelling within 6 hours of your booking or not attending will result in a $10 fee. This helps ensure all members have equal access to sessions.

Sauna Etiquette

  • Can I bring pets or children?

No pets or children are allowed inside our buildings, including reception areas. At beach locations, pets and children may remain in public spaces but not inside our reception areas or private facilities. Staff are not responsible for supervising pets or children under any circumstances.

  • It’s my first time using a sauna. What should I do?

Bring two towels – one to sit on and one for after your session. Bring a large water bottle to stay hydrated. Avoid eating less than an hour before your session. Stay hydrated before, during, and after. Start slow: Begin with 10 minutes, then take a 5-minute break before gradually increasing your time. Read through our Welcome Reminder to ensure a smooth experience.

  • Can I pour water or oil on the rocks?

No, unless the location provides proper buckets and ladles for this purpose (currently only at East Fremantle). The sauna is a shared space, and sudden bursts of steam can be overwhelming for some guests. Our saunas are already at an optimal temperature.

Sauna Guidelines

  • What should I bring into the sauna?

Required: A towel to sit on.
Recommended: A water bottle. Some guests also enjoy bringing a book.
Not Recommended: Watches, phones, and headphones, as they may overheat. If you bring your phone, leave it on the lower benches where it’s cooler (but still at your own risk). Remove all jewellery, as metal can get hot and burn your skin.

  • How long should I stay in the sauna?
    • We recommend 15–20 minutes per session.
    • You can shorten your session based on personal comfort.
  • Do you have a designated quiet sauna?
    • No, we do not offer a quiet-only sauna.
    • Each of our locations has a unique atmosphere and sense of community. We encourage you to visit different venues to find the environment that best suits you.

  • What is the temperature inside the sauna?
    • Most of our saunas are set to around 90°C (please check with staff for a more accurate reading).
    • We do not adjust the temperature for individual preferences.
    • If it feels too hot, consider sitting lower or shortening your session.

About Our Saunas

  • What type of sauna do you offer?

We provide a Traditional Finnish Sauna experience. We do not offer Infrared Saunas due to insufficient research on their benefits.
